Tennyson wrote a poem (The Vision of Sin) which included the line:
Every moment dies a man,
Every moment one is born.
And Charles Babbage wrote back,
If this were true, the population of the world would be at a standstill. In truth, the rate of birth is slightly in excess of death. I would suggest that the next edition of your poems should read: ‘Every moment dies a man/Every moment 1 1/16 is born.’ Strictly speaking . . . Strictly speaking, the actual figure is so long I cannot get it into a line, but I believe the figure 1 1/16 will be sufficiently accurate for poetry.
I quite enjoyed that.

This movie was FANTASTIC! Not only did it provide us with two hours of pure, unadulterated fun, but gave us some great laughs over the following week as well! So, Ram and I were emailing clips and favorite dialogues from the movie to each other, and to A. So, finally, A replies with this gem:
WTF…u ppl are obsessed with the movie…!!
Regards,
A. K.
CFO
List-IT
HA!! And that was just the beginning! FYI, List-IT is a project Ram, M and I are working on and has nothing whatsoever to do with A.
Ram’s Reply:
Hot news of the day:
Ram K, the CEO of List-IT.co.in, recently fired his CFO and unofficial partner A.K. on charges of taking credit for what he has not done, for calculation mistakes and bringing bad name to the multi-billion dollar company. A.K. has not yet been reached for comments.
So, I replied saying Ram was JOINT CEO, not CEO. He replied saying I’m the managing director. I refused. So, he came up with this:
On an article dated 12/20/2012:-
In an unexpected turn of events, Mr M.C. who had been voted to lead List-it.co.in as the CEO by the board members, met with an accident and is currently in Trinidad. Mr Ram Kumar who was closely behind Mr C will be taking over the new CEO position. Even though rumors float on a Mallu gang attacking Mr C, no evidence has been linked to Mr Ram K yet. Roshini David, who is also one among the intial founders of the company – has volunteerily stepped in to fill in the position of Managing Director.
Excerpt from her interview – “I am a family woman. I cannot wake up before 10am in the morning and almost everyday, my kids go hungry or the neighbours feed them. So, being the CEO of such a huge company is too much of a responsiblity and only a person like Mr Ram will be able to lead it. I wish him all the best.”
JEEZ, GUYS!!! I replied:
Headlines:
Roshini David has sued ex-friend and co-founder of List-it.co.in, Ram K, for sexual discrimination and slander. Apparently, Ram K had wrongly quoted Miss David as saying, “I am a woman and therefore cannot be expected to work”. The odds are heavily against Ram K, following which, Roshini David will be the company’s undisputed CEO.
Ram:
Headline (news feed):
Roshini David misses the meeting for selection of CEO as her roommate Prachi Patel took the bathroom from 8:00 to 9:30. Ram Kumar BS will continue leading List-it.co.in as the CEO.
Me:
Headlines:
Ram Kumar Bs, after a heavy night of partying, turned up disheveled and bleary eyed to work. Also, several cases of inappropriate behavior have been reported by female employees. Due to these factors, the decision has been changed, and Roshini David has been reinstated as CEO of List-it.co.in.

Hostile take over by a vengeful former CFO
By Smart Alex
Published: October 31, 2010In what can only be described as an act of spiteful vendetta, yesterday the former CFO of List-it.co.in who was unfairly removed from his position a few minutes back has hit back in a spectacular and hostile takeover. A.K., is now the new CEO of List-it.co.in.
And it continues…

WHEN lovely woman wants a favor,
And finds, too late, that man won’t bend,
What earthly circumstance can save her
From disappointment in the end?
The only way to bring him over,
The last experiment to try,
Whether a husband or a lover,
If he have feeling, is, to cry!

There was once a Woman who had a Theory that Men did Not Care for Too Much Intellectuality in her Sex. After this Theory she shaped her Actions, which Shows her to have been a Remarkable Woman. One day a Man asked her if she Belonged to his Sister’s Ibsen Club.
“Oh, no,” she answered; “I Cannot understand Ibsen at all.”
The Next Time he called he brought her a Bunch of Violets and asked her if she read Maeterlinck.
“No; I think it is Very Silly,” she replied.
Then the Man brought her a Box of Chocolates, remarking, “‘Sweets to the Sweet’—do you not think Shakespeare was Right?”
The Woman saw that she was Making Progress. Now was her Time to Stop, but this she Did Not Perceive.
“Shakespeare?” said she. “Oh, yes, I have read a little of His Works, but I do not see Much Sense in them, to tell the Truth.”
” Nay, nay,” said the Man, ” this is Too Much. Not to Understand Ibsen, shows that you are a Good Woman; to think Maeterlinck Silly, augurs Well for your Intelligence; but not to see Much Sense in Shakespeare, implies that you are Uneducated.”
And he did not Call Again.
This teaches us that it is Possible to Get Too Much of a Good Thing.

With careful planning they raised me up,
The way they were supposed to,
A little adventure I would have liked,
Perhaps a trip to timbuktu.
I never waver from my path,
Should paths be made or placed upon?
With all my heart, I fulfill their dreams,
And wonder if mine are gone.

Outside is dark, my room is lit,
Brain dead, determined still,
Four hours down, finally i quit,
Now I leave it to God’s good will!

I hate talking, when I have nothing to say to you,
Hate listening, when I find you boring,
Hate laughing, when you fail to be funny,
Hate crying, when it wasn’t my fault,
Hate smiling, just to prove I’m doing ok,
Hate asking, when I shouln’t have to,
Hate leaving, when I’m having too much fun,
Hate advicing, when the stakes are too high,
Hate giving, when you demand it,
Hate comforting, when you’re wrong though hurt,
Hate working, at 4 in the morning,
Hate mourning, when I know I never liked you,
Hate scolding, when I’m afraid you’d hate me,
Hate being scolded, when I’m already sorry,
Hate hating, when you don’t deserve it,
Hate loving, when you won’t love me back.

No more can I turn the leaves of this dear book that I loved, and vainly hope in time to read it all. No more can I look into the depths of this unfathomable water, wherein, as momentary lights glanced into it, I have had glimpses of buried treasure and other things submerged.
It was appointed that the book should shut with a a spring, for ever and for ever, when I had read but a page. It was appointed that the water should be locked in an eternal frost, when the light was playing on its surface, and I stood in ignorance on the shore.
My friend is dead, my neighbour is dead, my love, the darling of my soul, is dead; it is the inexorable consolidation and perpetuation of the secret that was always in that individuality, and which I shall carry in mine to my life`s end.

I miss the noise, though I love the quiet,
miss the crowds, yet love the space,
yearn for the heat, while watching the snow in wonder,
miss Bombay, as I begin to love New York.
